In commercial spaces such as office buildings, hotels, and retail entrances, small functional signage products like umbrella stands are often overlooked. However, in high-traffic areas, both appearance and durability play a critical role in maintaining a clean and professional environment.

This project features a custom stainless steel umbrella stand designed for indoor lobby use. The goal was not only to provide a practical storage solution for umbrellas, but also to ensure that the product integrates well with the overall interior branding and maintains long-term usability.

To achieve a refined and durable structure, the main body was fabricated using stainless steel with a thickness range of approximately 1.2–1.5mm. The surface was finished with an electroplated coating, giving the product a high-end metallic appearance while also improving corrosion resistance in humid environments.

One of the key design considerations in this project was the drainage system. A perforated top plate was used to allow water from umbrellas to flow through efficiently, while the internal structure was designed with a concealed drainage compartment. This helps prevent water accumulation and keeps the surrounding floor area clean and safe.

From a fabrication perspective, the structure was formed through laser cutting and CNC bending, followed by welding to ensure overall stability. The internal joints were reinforced to prevent deformation during long-term use. After welding, the surface was carefully polished before electroplating to achieve a smooth and consistent finish.

This type of stainless steel umbrella stand is commonly used in office lobbies, hotel entrances, shopping malls, and other indoor commercial environments. It is a practical solution that combines functionality, durability, and visual consistency with modern interior design.
