Custom LED Wayfinding Hanging Sign for Shopping Mall Direction System
In large commercial spaces such as shopping malls, clear and well-structured wayfinding signage plays a critical role in guiding visitors efficiently. Compared to standalone signs, hanging direction signs are often used in corridors and open areas where visibility from a distance is required.
This project features a custom LED wayfinding hanging sign designed for a shopping mall environment. The objective was to create a signage system that remains highly visible in both daytime and nighttime conditions, while maintaining a clean and consistent visual style across the interior space.
To achieve this, the sign was designed using an illuminated panel structure with integrated LED lighting. The face panel is made of acrylic, processed with precision CNC engraving and finished with graphic elements for directional guidance. The internal structure is built with a metal frame to ensure overall rigidity and long-term stability when suspended.
One of the key considerations in this project was balancing illumination and readability. The lighting system uses evenly distributed LED modules, ensuring that the directional arrows and text are clearly visible without hotspots or uneven brightness. The color temperature is optimized for indoor environments, allowing the sign to blend naturally with commercial lighting conditions.
For the non-illuminated version of the signage, the same structural design is maintained, but without internal lighting. This allows the project to adapt to different installation areas within the mall, depending on lighting conditions and budget requirements.
From a fabrication perspective, the production process includes CNC cutting of acrylic panels, metal frame fabrication, surface finishing, and final assembly. Special attention is given to edge treatment and alignment to ensure that all signage elements remain consistent across the system.
