In retail storefront signage, visual impact is often achieved not only through size or brightness, but through the combination of color, material layering, and lighting effects. Backlit acrylic letters are widely used in projects where both brand identity and aesthetic presentation are equally important.

This project features a set of custom LED letters using a backlit acrylic structure with layered color design. The goal was to create a soft halo lighting effect while maintaining a vibrant and recognizable brand appearance during the daytime.

To achieve this effect, the letters were constructed using acrylic panels combined with a metal internal support structure. The front surface incorporates colored acrylic elements, while the back section allows light to diffuse through a controlled gap between the letter and the mounting surface. This creates a halo effect that enhances depth and visual contrast.

One of the key aspects of this design is the balance between color expression and lighting performance. The acrylic layers are carefully selected to ensure that the color remains strong under daylight conditions, while still allowing sufficient light transmission for night illumination.

The internal lighting system uses LED modules arranged according to the shape and stroke width of each letter. This ensures consistent light distribution and prevents uneven brightness, which is particularly important for multi-color signage.

From a fabrication perspective, the process includes CNC cutting of acrylic components, bonding and layering of different materials, internal frame assembly, and final installation of the LED system. Special attention is given to edge finishing and alignment to ensure clean outlines and precise visual appearance.

This type of backlit acrylic signage is widely used in retail stores, shopping malls, brand storefronts, and commercial interiors. It is especially suitable for projects that require both strong daytime color presence and soft, high-end lighting effects at night.
